Fault-Tolerant Multisubset Aggregation Scheme for Smart Grid

As smart cities and nations are fast becoming a reality, so does the underpinning infrastructure, such as grids. One particular challenge associated with grid implementation is need to ensure privacy preserving multisubset data aggregation. Existing approaches generally require collaboration of trusted third party (TTP), which may not be practical. This also increases threat exposure, attacker can now target TTP who servicing several operators. Therefore, in this article, fault-tolerant aggregation scheme proposed. Our aggregates total electricity consumption value, obtains number users different numerical intervals, without relying on any TTP. Detailed system analysis shows that our prevents leakage single data, well guarantees efficiency when new user joins existing leaves. Findings from evaluation demonstrate robustness achieved negligible cost.
